What this policy covers
This policy describes what information Beacon Asset Group (“Beacon”) collects through beaconasg.com and its data products, how that information is used, and the choices you have. Beacon sells county land data products to land investors.
Information we collect
– Contact information you give us: your name and email address when you sign up for the Land Brief, contact us, or buy a product.
– Order information: when you buy through Gumroad, Gumroad processes your payment and shares order details with us (your name, email address, the product, and the order ID) so we can deliver your file and register your license. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
– Form submissions: information you enter in a form on this site is stored with the submission so we can respond.
– Site analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.
– Technical information: standard server logs, including IP addresses, browser type, and timestamps.
How we use information
– To deliver products you buy and to send the emails you signed up for.
– To respond to your messages.
– To keep records of orders and licenses, including the order registration described in the Beacon Data License.
– To improve the site and the products.
– To comply with the law.
What we do not do
– We do not sell your personal information.
– We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers
We use a small set of providers to run the business: Gumroad (checkout and delivery), SendGrid (email delivery), Google Analytics (site analytics), and our website and server hosts. Each provider receives only the information it needs to do its work.
Cookies
This site uses analytics cookies from Google Analytics. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site and checkout will still work.
Data retention
We keep order and license records for as long as needed for accounting, license enforcement, and legal obligations. Email signup records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your choices
– Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
– Ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion, by writing to management@beaconasg.com. We respond within a reasonable period.
The data products
Beacon’s datasets are built from public county records. They contain property and ownership information that is already public record. This policy covers information about our customers and site visitors, not the public-record content of the datasets themselves.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date.
